SB276 Coerced Abortion Penalty (Passed 65 to 31 on 5/21/2024). Introduces the crime of "coerced criminal abortion by means of fraud." This offense involves a third party knowingly administering an abortion-inducing drug to a pregnant woman without her knowledge or consent, aiming to terminate the pregnancy without her awareness. 

SB101 Ranked-choice Voting Ban (Passed 73 to 23 on 5/15/2024). Prohibits the use of ranked-choice voting in most elections for public office within Louisiana.

SB133 International Organization Nullification (Passed 69 to 22 on 5/15/2024). Establishes that international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations (UN), and World Economic Forum (WEF) have no jurisdiction or authority within the state.

SCR2 Con-Con (Passed 81 to 11 on 5/13/2024). Applies to the United States Congress to call a convention for proposing amendments under Article V of the U.S. Constitution.

SB152 Constitutional Carry (Passed 76 to 22 on 5/6/2024). Allows law-abiding citizens aged 21 and over to carry concealed handguns without a permit.

HB188 School Board Candidate Requirement (Passed 93 to 6 on 4/9/2024). Requires that candidates for school-board elections possess a high-school diploma or its equivalent in order to qualify.

SCR21 Sovereign Right to Nullification (passed 67 to 29 on 6/7/2023). Affirms “the sovereign right of Louisiana to nullify unconstitutional acts of the federal government.”

HB399 Exemptions from Student Vaccine Mandates (passed 68 to 25 on 6/6/2023). Would apply exemptions to student immunization requirements not only to students seeking to enter school but also to students attending school.

HB648 Ban on Sex Mutilation Against Minors (passed 75 to 25 on 6/6/2023). Would, as the “Stop Harming Our Kids Act,” ban certain procedures to alter the sex of a minor child.

HB466 Prohibiting Gender Ideology in Classrooms (passed 74 to 25 on 6/6/2023). Would prohibit teachers, school employees, or other presenters in public schools from covering topics of sexual orientation and gender identity in a manner that deviates from state content standards or curricula approved by public school governing authorities.

HB131 Permitless Firearm Carry (passed 71 to 29 on 5/23/2023). Would remove the requirement that a person possess a valid concealed handgun permit in order to carry a concealed handgun.

HB98 Universal 'Education Savings Accounts' (passed 61 to 37 on 5/16/2023). Would create the Sunshine Scholarship Program for K-12 students not enrolled in public school, providing state funding for qualified education expenses directly to parents through “a universal education freedom account.”

SB342 Abortion Restrictions (passed 72 to 25 on 6/2/2022). Provides that it shall be unlawful for a physician or other person to perform an abortion, except in cases to “prevent the death or substantial risk of death” or the “loss of a life-sustaining organ” of a pregnant woman.

HA2769 (HB990) Prohibiting COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates (failed 20 to 72 on 4/20/2022). Would amend HB990, which prohibits COVID-19 vaccine mandates by state and local governmental subdivisions, to apply to any federal COVID-19 vaccine “law or regulation” that is not “valid and enforceable” and removes the provision allowing private entities to implement COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

HB149 Legislative Power to Terminate Emergency Declarations (passed 64 to 36 on 6/10/2021). Would have specified that the Legislature may terminate the entire state of disaster, emergency, or public health emergency, or any section of subsection thereof, declared by executive order or proclamation of the Governor.

SB10 State-Compelled Kindergarten (passed 70 to 34 on 6/9/2021). Requires compulsory school attendance for all children beginning at age 5, including full-day kindergarten and a readiness assessment prior to entering first grade.

SB118 Constitutional Carry (passed 73 to 28 on 5/27/2021). Would have allowed permitless carry of a handgun for any person who does not possess a concealed handgun permit but otherwise meets the eligibility requirements.

HCR51 Article V Convention: Term Limits (passed 66 to 23 on 5/24/2021). Calls for a "convention of states" to amend the United States Constitution to establish a limitation on terms for members of Congress.
