LD1126 Ghost-gun Ban (Passed 17 to 16 on 6/25/2025). Creates new restrictions on firearms lacking serial numbers, and bans “undetectable firearms” in Maine.

LD1666 Ranked-choice-voting Expansion (Passed 21 to 14 on 6/18/2025). Expands ranked-choice voting (RCV) to Maine’s general and special elections for governor, state senators, and state representatives, replacing traditional plurality voting for those offices.

LD1868 Renewable-energy Goals (Passed 19 to 16 on 6/17/2025). Updates the state’s renewable and clean-energy laws by setting a 2040 goal that 90 percent of retail electricity sales come from renewable resources and 10 percent from “clean resources,” including certain nuclear, hydro, and low-emission generators.

LD340 Speedy Trials (Passed 77 to 69 on 6/13/2025). Creates the “Maine Speedy Trial Act,” setting strict deadlines for when criminal trials must begin after arraignment, with shorter timelines phased in over several years depending on the severity of the charge.

LD702 January 6 Commemoration (Passed 19 to 14 on 5/22/2025). Designates January 6 as “A Day to Remember.”

SP10 Con-Con: Term Limits (Failed 18 to 15 on 5/22/2025). Submits two formal applications under Article V of the U.S. Constitution asking Congress to call constitutional conventions.

LD538 Abortion-drug-prescriber Protection (Passed 75 to 71 on 5/20/2025). Amends prescription-drug labeling rules to allow the prescriber’s name to be removed specifically for mifepristone, misoprostol, and their generic equivalents.

LD1948 MaineCare Funding (Passed 93 to 50 on 5/20/2025). Enacts an emergency measure that immediately provides a one-time allocation of $117.6 million to fund MaineCare for fiscal year 2024-25.

LD265 Defend the Guard (Rejected 109 to 33 on 4/24/2025). Prohibits Maine’s National Guard from being sent into active-duty combat overseas unless Congress issues a formal declaration of war.

LD260 Equal Rights Amendment (Failed 74 to 65 on 4/23/2025). Proposes adding an “Equality of Rights” amendment to the Maine Constitution.
