S8344 Speed-enforcement Cameras (Passed 110 to 31 on 6/17/2025). Extends New York City's school-zone speed-camera program.

S4045 Speed Limiter (Passed 44 to 15 on 6/12/2025). Mandates that drivers who accumulate 11 or more points on their driving record within 24 months, or receive six speed-camera or red-light camera tickets in 12 months, must have an "intelligent speed assistance" device—also known as a "speed limiter"—installed in any vehicle they own or operate.

A1962 Forced Firearm Storage (Passed 93 to 46 on 6/11/2025). Strengthens gun-storage laws by criminalizing unsafe storage based on severity, requiring offenders to receive safety materials, and mandating state reporting on child firearm injuries and deaths.

S5059 Inmates and Welfare Benefits (Passed 45 to 13 on 6/10/2025). Helps individuals leaving correctional facilities enroll in vital safety-net programs, such as SNAP, WIC, HEAP, public assistance, or Supplemental Security Income.

S1026 Second Amendment Waiver (Passed 47 to 15 on 6/9/2025). Introduces an optional self-imposed waiver allowing individuals to voluntarily give up their right to purchase firearms, rifles, or shotguns.

A4040 "Human Rights" Housing (Passed 95 to 46 on 6/6/2025). Amends New York's Executive Law to officially include the "disparate impact" standard in the state's Human Rights Law related to housing.

S1218 Minority Business Contracts (Passed 144 to 2 on 5/29/2025). Requires every state agency in New York that awards contracts to create a three‑year growth plan aimed at increasing the participation of minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs) in contracts and subcontracts.

S1529 Carbon Farming (Passed 61 to 0 on 5/6/2025). Establishes a tax credit for farmers who adopt land-management practices aimed at maximizing carbon sequestration, such as those that store greenhouse gases in soil and vegetation using tools like USDA's COMET‑Planner.

A136 Assisted Suicide (Passed 81 to 67 on 4/29/2025). Would allow a mentally competent adult with a terminal illness and a doctor's prognosis of six months or less to request and self-administer medication to peacefully end his or her life.

A2565 Warrant Requirement (Passed 93 to 56 on 3/26/2025). Mandates that government agents must obtain a search warrant before accessing electronic device data—whether searching devices physically or accessing communications electronically.
