S2129 creates the “climate change adaptation cost recovery program,” which, among other provisions, demands payment from companies that have produced a certain amount of “greenhouse gas emissions.”

The Assembly passed S2129 on June 8, 2024, by a vote of 92 to 49. We have assigned pluses to the nays because this “superfund” bill relies on the hoax of “climate change,” which is being used to codify extreme provisions of the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 into state and federal law. The “green agenda” for a “decarbonized economy” is, in reality, a fanatical attempt by globalist elites to increase their taxing power and authority, encroaching on the property rights of Americans enshrined in the Bill of Rights and the 14th Amendment. The people of New York must end the unconstitutional war on fossil fuels, as it only promises to prevent free-market enterprise, reduce our standards of living, and compromise the integrity of our infrastructure.
