Mandates that drivers who accumulate 11 or more points on their driving record within 24 months, or receive six speed-camera or red-light camera tickets in 12 months, must have an "intelligent speed assistance" device—also known as a "speed limiter"—installed in any vehicle they own or operate.

S5059 Inmates and Welfare Benefits (Passed 45 to 13 on 6/10/2025). Helps individuals leaving correctional facilities enroll in vital safety-net programs, such as SNAP, WIC, HEAP, public assistance, or Supplemental Security Income.

S1026 Second Amendment Waiver (Passed 47 to 15 on 6/9/2025). Introduces an optional self-imposed waiver allowing individuals to voluntarily give up their right to purchase firearms, rifles, or shotguns.

S1529 Carbon Farming (Passed 61 to 0 on 5/6/2025). Establishes a tax credit for farmers who adopt land-management practices aimed at maximizing carbon sequestration, such as those that store greenhouse gases in soil and vegetation using tools like USDA's COMET‑Planner.

S135 Taxpayer Abortion Support (Passed 39 to 20 on 1/21/2025). Expands the state-funded "Reproductive Freedom and Equity Grant Program" to cover abortion-related access costs such as travel, lodging, meals, childcare, translation, and doula support.

S88 Automatic Voter Registration (Passed 40 to 21 on 1/13/2025). Establishes automatic voter registration (AVR) and pre-registration in New York. Individuals applying for eligible Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) documentation, as well as those applying for or re-enrolling in Medicaid, would automatically be registered or pre-registered to vote.

S2129 "Climate Change" Reparations for Businesses (passed 92 to 49 on 6/8/2024). Creates the “climate change adaptation cost recovery program,” which, among other provisions, demands payment from companies that have produced a certain amount of “greenhouse gas emissions.”

S8479 Tracking Firearm Purchases (passed 90 to 51 on 6/7/2024). Requires financial institutions to use merchant category codes to identify firearm retailers.

A5212 "Gender Balanced" State and Local Boards (passed 112 to 38 on 3/27/2024). Provides that all appointments or reappointments to any state or local board of authority shall be “gender balanced.”

B1460 Withdrawal of Article V Applications (adopted 102 to 46 on 3/20/2024). Would “rescind, repeal, cancel, nullify, and supersede” any and all prior applications by the Legislature for a convention under Article V of the U.S. Constitution.

A4714 Repealing the Crime of Adultery (passed 137 to 10 on 3/11/2024). Repeals the section of state penal law relating to the crime of adultery.

S8096 Expediting the "Morning-After" Pill (passed 106 to 39 on 2/18/2024). Amends state law to allow pharmacists to dispense “self-administered hormonal contraceptives” over the counter 10 months earlier than previously slated to take effect.

S02475 Sex Changes for Minors Protection (Passed 97 to 47 on 6/10/2023). Prohibits the consideration of another state's law allowing a child's removal based on gender-affirming care in custody cases, restricts law enforcement from cooperating with out-of-state agencies regarding such care, and blocks subpoenas in out-of-state proceedings for health information of those seeking sex changes.

S01359 Racist Government Office (Passed 129 to 16 on 6/5/2023). Establishes the Office of Racial Equity and Social Justice to coordinate policy, resource allocation, and services to promote equal opportunities and outcomes for all, regardless of race or "social justice constructs".

A01395 College Abortions (Passed 100 to 49 on 4/18/2023). Provides access to medication abortion prescription drugs at the State University of New York (SUNY) and the City University of New York (CUNY) campuses.

A01060 Pharmacist Prescribed Birth Control (Passed 109 to 37 on 3/28/2023). Allows pharmacists to prescribe birth control medication.

S00825 Forced Insurance Coverage (Passed 140 to 2 on 2/1/2023). Requires insurance coverage by every large group policy to include medical, major medical, or comprehensive-type coverage for pre-exposure prophylaxis and post-exposure prophylaxis to prevent HIV infection.

A00627 State Sovereignty (Passed 144 to 0 on 1/17/2023).  Requires nursing homes to follow Federal CDC or Medicare and Medicaid guidance relating to infectious disease control planning and procedures.

S08884 Equity Program (Passed 136 to 13 on 6/3/2022). Establishes the transgender and gender non-binary (TGNB) wellness and equity program, which expands social programs in the name of equity.

S09405 Green Building Codes (Passed 103 to 47 on 6/1/2022). Promotes clean energy and the implementation of the climate agenda to the state energy conservation construction code, which increases the energy efficiency standards of appliances and equipment.

S03468 Racial Equity (Passed 140 to 5 on 5/23/2022). Establishes the office of racial equity and social justice to implement the state's racial equity and social justice action plan.

A08272 Formal Titles (Passed 138 to 5 on 1/25/2022). Replaces all instances of the words "councilman" or "councilmen" with more inclusive words such as "council member" or "council members".

S02987 Public Health Crisis (Passed 110 to 39 on 6/10/2021). Declares racism a public health crisis and establishes a working group within the department of health to promote racial equity.

S05257 Government Assisted Housing (Passed 146 to 2 on 6/9/2021). Provides a mechanism for the state to finance the acquisition of distressed hotels and commercial office properties by the appropriate nonprofit organizations for the purpose of providing affordable housing.
