SB474 Eliminate DEI (passed 31 to 2 on 4/13/2025). Eliminates diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, trainings, activities, offices, and officers from primary and secondary schools and institutions of higher education.

SB225 Federal Law-enforcement Authority (passed 33 to 0 on 4/11/2025). Amends West Virginia law to authorize commissioned rangers of the National Park Service to enforce state laws, allowing independent investigation, arrest, search, and seizure for any offense under state law in the National Park System.

SB627 Carbon Capture in State Parks (passed 26 to 5 on 4/9/2025). Removes the prohibition against leasing state-owned lands designated as state parks for underground carbon capture and sequestration.

HB2129 Parents' Bill of Rights (passed 32 to 1 on 3/24/2025). Enacts the “Parents’ Bill of Rights,” which affirms the fundamental right of parents to direct the upbringing, education, care, healthcare, and mental health of their minor children; and provides for injunctive relief against violations.

SB490 Ranked-choice Voting (passed 31 to 2 on 3/4/2025). Prohibits the use of ranked-choice voting methods by state, county, or local elections offices to conduct elections or nominations of candidates for local government, statewide, or federal elective offices in West Virginia.

SB460 Child Vaccine Exemption (passed 20 to 12 on 2/23/2025). Expands exemptions to West Virginia’s compulsory childhood vaccination requirements by permitting religious and philosophical exemptions, and prohibiting schools or childcare centers from excluding exempted children from extracurricular activities or events.

HB5105 Vaccine Freedom in Schools (Passed 20 to 12 on 3/9/2024). Exempts students attending virtual public schools from mandatory vaccination requirements and allows private and parochial schools to set their own immunization policies.

HB4297 Federal Police Policy Adoption (Passed 33 to 0 on 3/8/2024). Aligns state law with the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA). This legislation designates certain correctional officers as law-enforcement officers for purposes of LEOSA, enabling them to carry concealed firearms nationwide.

HB4911 Raw Milk (Passed 28 to 5 on 3/8/2024). Legalizes the sale of raw (unpasteurized) milk within the state.

HB5178 Forced Vehicle Insurance (Passed 33 to 1 on 3/1/2024). Requires car dealerships to use a search engine to verify that vehicle buyers have valid motor-vehicle insurance.

SB618 Carbon Exchange Program (Passed 27 to 5 on 2/28/2024). Mandates that all carbon credits originating from real property or standing timber in West Virginia, regardless of ownership, must be transacted exclusively through the state-run West Virginia Carbon Exchange, managed by the Division of Forestry.

HB4782 Second Amendment Protection (Passed 33 to 1 on 2/19/2024). Prevents municipalities from imposing stricter planning and zoning ordinances on firearm-related businesses than those applied to other businesses.

HB2007 Ban on Sex Mutilation of Children (passed 30 to 2 on 3/11/2023). Bans a physician from providing “irreversible gender reassignment surgery” or “gender altering medication” to a person who is under 18 years of age.

SB584 Eliminating Abortions Based on Rape or Incest (motion to table adopted 29 to 5 on 2/23/2023). Would remove the rape and incest exception to obtain an abortion in West Virginia.

SB306 "Summer Feeding for All" Program (passed 30 to 1 on 1/31/2023). Establishes the “Summer Feeding for All” program to reduce “food insecurity” by providing meals to the students during “summer and non-school-day times."

SB10 Concealed Carry on College Campuses (passed 29 to 4 on 1/24/2023). Authorizes concealed handgun license holders to carry firearms on public college and university campuses.

SB162 Leasing Public Land for Carbon Capture (passed 30 to 0 on 1/20/2023). Permits the Division of Natural Resources to lease state-owned “pore spaces” in “state forests, natural and scenic areas, and management areas, and other lands” for carbon sequestration.

SB115 Article V Convention: Delegate Selection Procedure (passed 29 to 1 on 1/20/2023). Outlines a procedure for West Virginia to select delegates to a “convention for proposing amendments” under Article V of the U.S. Constitution.

SB4001 Industrial Business Expansion Development Program (Passed 28 to 1 on 9/12/2022). Creates the Industrial Business Expansion Development Program and is to be administered as a program within the Department of Economic Development.

HB4012 Vaccine Status (Passed 23 to 8 on 3/12/2022). Prohibits the showing of proof of a COVID-19 vaccination as a condition for entering the premises of any state or local governmental building or as a condition for entering the premises of a hospital or enrolling in a state institution of higher education.

HB2096 Film Investment Tax Credit (Passed 32 to 1 on 3/9/2022). Restores the film tax credit program in West Virginia and would be retroactive to January 1, 2018.

SB498 Anti-Racism Act of 2022 (Passed 21 to 12 on 3/2/2022). Prohibits that a teacher may not teach that one race, ethnic group, or biological sex is inherently, morally, or intellectually superior to another race, ethnic group, or biological sex.

HB2008 Reduced Licensure (Passed 17 to 16 on 3/17/2021). Eases up on licensing requirements for plumbers, HVAC, and electricians.

HB3293 Women's Sports (Passed 18 to 15 on 4/8/2021). Prohibits biological males from participating on athletic teams or sports designated for biological females where competitive skill or contact is involved.
