What happened to theFreedomIndex.org?
We changed to a shorter name and redirected everything to the new domain name.
The links you have shared to thefreedomindex.org will still work.
Note: This may require adjustments as we reroute visitors from the old addresses to the new ones.
New Layout
New Government landing page. Click “View All Legislators” for the legislator list.
View report list, Legislative alerts and recent votes on the government landing page.
The new legislator list page includes advanced filters and Print list.
Legislator profile includes all votes and multiple ways to share, personalize and print score cards.
New Features:
Search by zip code/address
On the home page, you can enter an address or zip and see the state and federal legislators for that address.
Search All Legislators
In the old system, legislators were separated into their states, and the main site search couldn’t find them. Now, the search box at the top right can find any legislator.
Legislators Sort by Score
Now you can sort legislators based on their scores. Example: WI Senate.
Print Legislator Lists
Once you find the batch of legislators you want, you will see a “Print” link near the page title. This is currently limited to 240 legislators.
Postcard PDF format
We have a compact 4-per-page postcard size PDF now.
Save Your Info to use next time
Now you can sign in with your ShopJBS.org or TNA login (or create a new account) and save contacts to use when printing PDFs. You won’t have to copy and paste or type your name and email addresses anymore.
You may select 3-4 contacts to show on your PDFs. If you have a table with a couple other members at a gun show, you can add all three names to legislator PDFs.
Share this Page
When you tap the share button on a legislator page, you’ll see a popup that has social media links to make it easy to share the exact view you have open (report, session, etc).
Also, it includes a QR code so you can share the legislator page easily person-to-person without having to print anything.
Mobile App
The Freedom Index mobile app uses “Progressive Web App” technology, but don’t get turned off by progressive. The key is, users will download the app directly from our site so it can never be censored!
