HB1368 Carbon-storage Regulations (Passed 29 to 19 on 2/24/2026). Establishes state regulations for underground carbon-dioxide storage and allows forced participation by property owners.

HB1424 Food Freedom (Passed 38 to 10 on 2/24/2026). Allows homestead food vendors and small farms to sell specified meat, produce, baked goods, and other foods directly from their property or at farmers markets.

SB182 Defining Biological Sex (Passed 37 to 8 on 1/27/2026). Would have defined "male," "female," and "sex" in state law according to biological sex.

SB264 Economic-development Tax Credit (Passed 41 to 3 on 1/26/2026). Would have expanded the state's Economic Development for a Growing Economy tax credit.

SB210 Con-Con Compact (Passed 34 to 11 on 1/22/2026). Would have entered Indiana into an interstate compact establishing rules for an Article V constitutional convention.

SB12 Ranked-choice-voting Ban (Passed 38 to 9 on 1/20/2026). Prohibits ranked-choice voting (RCV) in Indiana elections.

Allows the Indiana Department of Transportation to request a waiver from the Federal Highway Administration to implement toll lanes on any interstate highway within its borders.

Specifies that student documents may not be used as "proof of identification" for voting purposes, and that county voter-registration offices must remove disenfranchised criminals and non-citizens from their voter lists within 48 hours.

Amends Indiana's film and media production tax credit by making it transferable and extending the expiration date of eligible expenses to July 1, 2031.

Requires state and local law enforcement to notify federal immigration officials upon making a criminal arrest if there is probable cause that the suspect is an illegal alien.

Establishes certain guidelines for companies to receive a state-issued carbon sequestration project permit or CO2 pipeline certificate of authority.

Mandates that hospitals with maternity units offer Medicaid-eligible women the option to receive a long-acting reversible contraceptive implant after childbirth.

Prohibits political subdivisions from joining or participating in programs offered by those who have directly financed certain election activities (e.g., Zuckerbucks), and strengthens requirement ensuring that only legal voters can cast ballots.

Repeals obsolete energy programs and funds managed by the Indiana Office of Energy Development and replaces them with a low-interest loan program for energy efficiency and recycling projects.

Establishes the robotics competition program to provide grants to eligible robotics competition teams.

Introduces a carbon sequestration pilot project, allowing two carbon dioxide pipelines in Vigo and Vermillion counties.

Defines "core public health services" for purposes of public health laws, provides that the state department may provide services to local health departments, and requires each local board of health to establish a local public health services fund to receive state funding.

Provides for Medicaid-eligible community behavioral health clinic services.

Prohibits a physician or other practitioner from knowingly providing gender transition procedures to an individual who is less than 18 years of age and aiding or abetting another physician or practitioner in the provision of gender transition procedures to a minor.

Would make it illegal for school libraries to disseminate obscene material, such as pornography, to minors.

Allows permitless carry of a handgun for certain persons who are not otherwise prohibited from carrying or possessing a handgun in Indiana.

Would remove the exemption for K-12 schools and certain public libraries under current law that prohibits the distribution of material or a performance harmful to minors.

Provides the biennial budget for the State of Indiana, as passed by the General Assembly, which appropriates approximately $92.2 billion for FY 22-23.

Prevents an abortion-inducing drug from being given to a pregnant woman after eight weeks of post-fertilization age.

Establishes a Justice Reinvestment Advisory Council (JRAC) for each county in Indiana, consisting of leadership within the respective executive and judicial branches of government, whose purpose is to review local or regional criminal justice systems, policies, and procedures.

Provides that a local order may not be more stringent or broader in aspect than an executive order issued by the state during a declared emergency without the approval of the local legislative body.
