The Vermont Senate passed JRS015 on March 14, 2025 by a vote of 30 to 0. We have assigned pluses to the nays because this resolution promotes "woke" LGBTQ+ identity-based recognition, which fosters division and sanctions grossly illicit acts of sexual perversion. Homosexual behavior is contrary to the "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God," undermining self-government and the family. It attacks the very foundations of a free society. Nothing in the U.S. Constitution can be used to support homosexuality. No amount of "LGBTQ+" legislation can make normal, let alone constitutional, that which truth has told us since time immemorial to be abominable and shameful.

S0069 creates the Vermont Age-Appropriate Design Code Act, which imposes extensive regulations on "covered businesses," mandating highest-level default privacy settings for minors, as well as restrictions on data collection, processing, sharing, and retention of minors' personal data. Additionally, it prohibits design practices that could lead to compulsive use or emotional distress, and grants the attorney general broad rule-making authority to define prohibited practices and standards.

The Vermont Senate passed S0069 on March 12, 2025 by a vote of 25 to 5. We have assigned pluses to the nays because this legislation imposes government overreach that burdens businesses with vague, costly compliance mandates, and substitutes state bureaucrats and the attorney general for parental responsibility in guiding children's online activity. True protection of children comes from responsible parents exercising authority over their family. Expansive state regulations that impose one-size-fits-all schemes on private companies encourages further erosion of online freedoms under the guise of "safety."

S0068 would repeal the Affordable Heat Act in its entirety, including eliminating of the Clean Heat Standard. It would also abolish certain positions at the Public Utility Commission and Department of Public Service that were created to support the program.

The Vermont Senate failed to pass S0068 on February 25, 2025 by a vote of 13 to 17. We have assigned pluses to the yeas because this bill repeals big-government overreach. Despite its misleading title, the Affordable Heat Act imposed costly mandates on heating-fuel providers, raised energy costs for Vermonters, and created unnecessary bureaucracy under the guise of environmental regulation. Repealing it would eliminate burdensome compliance requirements, abolish taxpayer-funded bureaucrat positions, and allow the free market to determine energy choices.

HCR155 recognizes June 2024 as LGBTQ+ "Pride Month."

The Senate passed HCR155 on June 18, 2024, by a vote of 17 to 4. We have assigned pluses to the nays because homosexual behavior and "same-sex marriages" should be illegal in Delaware, not honored. Being contrary to the "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God," the grossly illicit, self-inhibiting, and unsanitary acts of sexual perversion inherent to the LGBTQ+ movement are destructive of self-government and the family—the very foundations of a free society. As with abortion, there is nothing in the U.S. Constitution that can be used to support homosexuality because true "equality" under the law means that there can be no appeal to "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" for anyone apart from the moral sanctions set forth by "their Creator" who grants them with "certain unalienable Rights." In other words, the positive standard established by the principles of the American Founding implies the negative prohibition. Despite what the General Assembly declares, no amount of celebration can make normal or even constitutional that which truth has told us since time immemorial to be abominable and shameful.

H887 creates “the Commission on the Future of Public Education in Vermont”, which is tasked with analyzing and recommending changes to ensure “equitable educational opportunities”. This legislation also raises property tax rates for 2025, and also introduces a new 3% surcharge on short-term rentals, with the revenue going into the Education Fund. Other provisions include updates to ballot language for school budgets, and the creation of an “Education Fund Advisory Committee”.

Additionally, S259 mandates the development of a “Resilience Implementation Strategy” by the Agency of Natural Resources.

Establishing unnecessary anti-discrimination laws further divide and pit Americans against each other. H158 proposed expanding state policy on the beverage container deposit and redemption system, and the creation of a "producer responsibility organization." H158 included mandating beverage manufacturers and distributors join a Secretary of Natural Resources approved responsibility organization to manage the system. The bill expands the definition of “beverage” container, and introduces a deposit of 15 cents for vinous beverage containers. It also requires annual reporting on redemption rates and proposes adjustments to the handling fee for redeemed containers. Financial aspects include remitting unclaimed deposits to the "Clean Water Fund".

Under our Republican form of government, electors are selected to represent their state, not the entire country.

H715 establishes the Clean Heat Standard to reduce Vermont’s greenhouse gas emissions from the thermal (heating) sector. parties must reduce greenhouse gas emissions attributable to the Vermont thermal sector by retiring required amounts of clean heat credits to meet the thermal sector portion of the greenhouse gas emission reduction obligations of the Global Warming Solutions Act.
