SB104, the “Protect All Students Act,” requires that public schools and institutions of higher education shall not permit a male or female to use a restroom, locker room, changing room, or shower room that is designated for the opposite sex.
The House passed SB104 on June 26, 2024, by a vote of 60 to 31. We have assigned pluses to the yeas because every person has a right—which the government has a duty to uphold—to protect both themselves and their children from obscene, indecent, or profane activity. These rights are retained under the 9th and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.
