2025 OH Legislative Scorecard
The following scorecard lists several key votes in the Ohio General Assembly in 2025 and ranks state representatives and senators based on their fidelity to (U.S.) constitutional and limited-government principles.

Bans DEI programs and offices, prohibits faculty strikes, bars institutions from taking positions on controversial issues, and requires a civics course for students.

Alters age and schooling certificate requirements and extends allowable work hours for minors under 16-particularly allowing 14- and 15-year-olds to work until 9 p.m. during the school year.

"Marital Rape" as a Criminal Offense
Eliminates the spousal exception for rape as a criminal sex offense, allowing a person to be convicted of rape involving their spouse, regardless of whether their spouse lives with them.

Halting the EPA's "Final Rule" on Carbon Emissions
Urges Congress to prevent the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from implementing its April 2024 "Final Rule" limiting carbon emissions for coal and natural gas-fired power plants.

Ban on Non-Citizen Campaign Contributions
Bans all foreign nationals, including permanent U.S. resident "green card" holders, from making contributions or expenditures regarding ballot issues or candidates.

Sports Event Grant Fund
Makes various appropriations, reappropriations, transfers, and redirects of funds for FY 2025-26, while expanding eligibility for sport site selection grants.

Parents' Bill of Rights
Enacts the "Parents' Bill of Rights," requiring public schools to ensure parental involvement and notification about sexuality content and health care services and adopt a policy authorizing students to attend a released time course in religious instruction.

Proposed an amendment to the Ohio Constitution that would have required any future constitutional amendment to be approved by at least 60% of the voters.

Urged citizens to vote against a statewide ballot initiative that proposed amending the Ohio Constitution by establishing an individual 'right to abortion.'
