SB9 AI "Election Interference" Bill (passed 152 to 12 on 3/27/2025). Would make it a crime of “fraudulent election interference” for political campaigns to knowingly publish “materially deceptive” media within 90 days of an election, with the intent of “significantly influencing” a candidate in or “creating confusion” about the election.

HB225 Eliminating "School Zone" Ticket Cameras (passed 129 to 37 on 3/4/2025). Would prohibit the use of “automatic traffic enforcement safety devices” to enforce speeding violations in “school zones.”

HB506 Medicaid Coverage for "Tobacco Cessation" (passed 142 to 31 on 3/3/2025). Directs the Department of Community Health to provide Medicaid coverage for “tobacco cessation treatments.”

HB206 Georgia Green New Deal (Passed 142 to 22 on 3/28/2024). Known as the "Georgia Green New Deal," this bill changes commercial property assessment rules to include conservation and energy improvements, allows authorities to issue bonds and grants, and sets up financing procedures without using other public funds.

SB420 Foreign Owned Land (Passed 97 to 67 on 3/21/2024). Restricts the ability of certain foreign persons and entities to purchase, own, and convey real estate by nonresident aliens, particularly agricultural land and land near military bases.

HB1053 Central Bank Digital Currency (Passed 136 to 32 on 2/29/2024). Prohibits governmental agencies from using a central bank digital currency (CBDC) as payment and from participating in any testing of such currency.

HR780 Citizen Voting (Passed 98 to 61 on 2/29/2024). Proposes an amendment to the Georgia Constitution to clarify that only U.S. citizens have the right to vote in state elections.

HB986 Elections and Free Speech (Passed 148 to 22 on 2/24/2024). Proposes that anyone found guilty of disseminating information considered deceptive by the government within a 90-day period leading up to an election will face felony charges. The penalties for this felony range from a minimum of 2 years to a maximum of 5 years in prison. HB86 Zoos & Aquariums (Passed 156 to 10 on 3/29/2023). Exempts purchases of tangible personal property used in the expansion or renovation of a qualified aquarium or zoo from state and local income taxes.

SB233 Georgia Promise Scholarship Act (Failed 85 to 89 on 3/29/2023). Would have created a school-voucher program, in which the government gives parents “public funds” (i.e., government money) to get their children out of government-run public or charter schools and instead place them in private school or to homeschool them.

SB1 Proof of Vaccine (Passed 99 to 69 on 3/23/2023). Removes the automatic repealer on the prohibition on state and local governments from requiring proof of COVID vaccination for government services.

SB140 Sex Changes for Minors (Passed 96 to 75 on 3/16/2023). Prohibits certain surgical procedures for the treatment of gender dysphoria in minors from being performed in hospitals and other licensed healthcare facilities and prohibits certain surgical procedures for the treatment of gender dysphoria in minors.

HB206 Green Energy Authorities (Passed 134 to 38 on 3/6/2023). Provides for the creation of Commercial Property Assessed Conservation, Energy, and Resiliency Development Authorities in certain counties and municipalities.

HB520 Mental Health (Passed 163 to 3 on 3/2/2023). Makes multiple changes to Georgia’s mental-health and other healthcare laws and expands government.
