HR178 declares October 24, 2025, as United Nations Day in the State of Illinois.

The House adopted HR178 on May 31, 2025, by a vote of 96 to 19. We have assigned pluses to the nays because 80 years of United States membership in the United Nations (UN) is nothing to “honor” or celebrate. “We the People” must do everything we can to Get US Out! of the UN. It poses one of the greatest threats to our God-given “unalienable Rights,” not to mention American sovereignty. Since its founding in 1945, the UN has been a modern-day Tower of Babel. Its Charter is completely antithetical to the U.S. Constitution, as it recognizes no authority higher than the state. Our Constitution was made for self-government under God, not secular world government. The state is not God, and the UN system is a false no-god. Illinois should reject the tyrannical “zeitgeist” of power-hungry globalist elites and call on Congress and the President to fully withdraw from the UN.
