The House passed SB3587 on May 21, 2024, by a vote of 86 to 27. We have assigned pluses to the nays because this bill depends on the hoax of “climate change” and millions of unconstitutional federal funds received by the Illinois Climate Bank, not to mention the abuse of eminent domain and the levying of direct annual taxes on citizens. It serves to implement extreme provisions of the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 into state law. The “green agenda” for a “decarbonized economy” is nothing other than a fanatical attempt by globalist elites to increase their taxing power and authority, encroaching on the property rights of Americans enshrined in the Bill of Rights and the 14th Amendment. The people of Illinois must end the unconstitutional war on fossil fuels, as it only promises to stifle free-market enterprise, reduce our standards of living, and compromise the integrity of our infrastructure.
