SB474 Eliminate DEI (passed 31 to 2 on 4/13/2025). Eliminates diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, trainings, activities, offices, and officers from primary and secondary schools and institutions of higher education.

SB225 Federal Law-enforcement Authority (passed 33 to 0 on 4/11/2025). Amends West Virginia law to authorize commissioned rangers of the National Park Service to enforce state laws, allowing independent investigation, arrest, search, and seizure for any offense under state law in the National Park System.

SB627 Carbon Capture in State Parks (passed 26 to 5 on 4/9/2025). Removes the prohibition against leasing state-owned lands designated as state parks for underground carbon capture and sequestration.

HB2129 Parents' Bill of Rights (passed 32 to 1 on 3/24/2025). Enacts the “Parents’ Bill of Rights,” which affirms the fundamental right of parents to direct the upbringing, education, care, healthcare, and mental health of their minor children; and provides for injunctive relief against violations.

SB490 Ranked-choice Voting (passed 31 to 2 on 3/4/2025). Prohibits the use of ranked-choice voting methods by state, county, or local elections offices to conduct elections or nominations of candidates for local government, statewide, or federal elective offices in West Virginia.

SB460 Child Vaccine Exemption (passed 20 to 12 on 2/23/2025). Expands exemptions to West Virginia’s compulsory childhood vaccination requirements by permitting religious and philosophical exemptions, and prohibiting schools or childcare centers from excluding exempted children from extracurricular activities or events.

HB5105 Vaccine Freedom in Schools (Passed 70 to 29 on 3/9/2024). Exempts students attending virtual public schools from mandatory vaccination requirements and allows private and parochial schools to set their own immunization policies.

HCR57 Con-Con (Passed 79 to 18 on 3/7/2024). Urges the U.S. Congress to convene a convention for proposing amendments under Article V of the U.S. Constitution. The purpose of this convention would be to propose amendments aimed at establishing fiscal responsibility within the federal government and repealing the 16th Amendment.

HB4233 Anti-Woke Birth Certificates (Passed 93 to 5 on 2/29/2024). Prohibits the designation of "nonbinary" or any other gender marker beyond "male" or "female" on birth certificates issued by the state.

HB4822 Government Grants (Passed 86 to 13 on 2/28/2024). Modifies the Certified Sites and Development Readiness Program, managed by the Department of Economic Development. This program evaluates and certifies sites based on their readiness for development.

HB5159 Worker Permit Elimination (Passed 83 to 16 on 2/20/2024). Eliminates the requirement that 14- and 15-year-olds obtain a work permit. 

HB5045 Carbon Sequestration and Storage (Passed 84 to 16 on 2/13/2024). Strengthen the state's authority over underground carbon-dioxide sequestration. The bill amends sections of the West Virginia Water Pollution Control Act to provide additional assurances to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regarding the state's application for primary enforcement authority over underground carbon-dioxide sequestration programs.

HB2007 Ban on Sex Mutilation of Children (passed 88 to 10 on 3/11/2023). Bans a physician from providing “irreversible gender reassignment surgery” or “gender altering medication” to a person who is under 18 years of age.

HB2862 Prohibiting State Funds for ESG Initiatives (passed 73 to 23 on 3/11/2023). Prohibits the West Virginia Investment Management Board and the Board of Treasury Investments, as well as their fiduciaries, from casting shareholder votes for the purpose of furthering “Environmental, social, corporate governance, or other similarly oriented considerations.”

HB3566 Enforcement of Canadian Protective Orders (passed 84 to 8 on 2/25/2023). Allows law enforcement in West Virginia to enforce domestic violence protective orders issued in Canada without requiring that such orders be registered with a court in the United States.

HB2036 Conscience Exemption from Vaccine Mandates (failed to advance 14 to 84 on 2/22/2023). Would exempt state employees, K-12 school children, and students in public institutions of higher education from mandatory immunizations based on a “conscientious or personal objection.”

SB10 Concealed Carry on College Campuses (passed 84 to 13 on 2/21/2023). Authorizes concealed handgun license holders to carry firearms on public college and university campuses.

HB3199 Aiding and Abetting Ectopic Abortions (passed 65 to 31 on 2/14/2023). Removes the requirement that a “termination of an ectopic pregnancy” be reported in West Virginia.

SB4001 Industrial Business Expansion Development Program (Passed 87 to 2 on 9/12/2022). Creates the Industrial Business Expansion Development Program and is to be administered as a program within the Department of Economic Development.

HB4012 Vaccine Status (Passed 88 to 7 on 3/12/2022). Prohibits the showing of proof of a COVID-19 vaccination as a condition for entering the premises of any state or local governmental building or as a condition for entering the premises of a hospital or enrolling in a state institution of higher education.

HCR31 Con-Con (Passed 77 to 19 on 3/4/2022). Applies to the Congress of the United States to call a convention of states.

HB4797 Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Plan (Passed 96 to 2 on 2/23/2023). Creates an EV Infrastructure Deployment Plan for West Virginia that describes how our state intends to use its share of NEVI Formula Program funds.

HB3293 Women's Sports (Passed 80 to 20 on 4/9/2021). Prohibits biological males from participating on athletic teams or sports designated for biological females where competitive skill or contact is involved.

HB2008 Reduced Licensure (Passed 59 to 40 on 3/18/2021). Eases up on licensing requirements for plumbers, HVAC, and electricians.
